"Wind Beneath My Wings" Project III is the 8th batch of Child Development Fund (CDF) Project operated by our association in Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing District in the period of 1/9/2020 to 31/8/2023. Founded in 2008, CDF is a tripartite, cross-sector collaboration among the community and family, the business sector and the Government. CDF aims to support longer-term development of children from a disadvantaged background, with a view to alleviating inter-generational poverty. The name of our project is inspired by an English song in 80s. A child is like a fledgling bird, often unable to spread its wings in the sky due to various restrictions. We believe that as long as there is an appropriate development opportunity, coupled with the support of others, the bird will surely spread its wings and fly high against the wind. Each project comprises three key components, namely Personal Development Plan, Targeted Savings and Mentorship. Training and value-added activities are also provided to participating children, their parents and mentors to help cultivate a supportive environment for the children's personal development.
