As an intermediary service provided with a clear and definite objective and time limit, “Unusual Academy” has been started since 1996 to serve as a “Half-way station’ for the youth who are mal-adjusted to main stream school system. It aims at helping them to enhance their life skills, reset goals and direction of life as well as assume more positive manner of living through a systematic, flexible and person-centered working methodology so as to help them resume meaningful engagement in the future. To provide a comprehensive support to dropouts, lots of effort are placed emphasis on parental counselling, school supportive service and employment network.
